For Biscuit International, Ditt Officemakers transformed an office building dating from 1991 into a contemporary working environment. With a clever layout, a warm interior design and modern facilities, the office fits in seamlessly with the way people work today.
Project Case
Ditt Officemakers carried out the complete refurbishment of an existing office building dating from 1991 for Biscuit International. The starting point was a working environment that is both functional and future-proof, and which is perfectly tailored to the user’s needs. Whilst the building owner was responsible for the structural alterations, the tenant took care of the interior fit-out. By redesigning the layout, improving the acoustics and creating open, flexible workspaces, we have created an office that encourages collaboration whilst also providing space for focused work. The existing core, comprising the toilet facilities and kitchenette, was retained and carefully integrated into the updated design.
The interior design concept is inspired by Biscuit International’s brand identity and the warm appeal of freshly baked biscuits. Light fabrics, a variety of wood tones and a carefully considered combination of materials create a welcoming atmosphere. Different floor finishes add texture to the work, living and circulation areas. The entrance has been completely refurbished and now provides a prestigious reception area that clearly distinguishes between the reception and work areas. In addition, a central ‘Social Heart’ has been created as a meeting place for informal chats and breaks. Flexibly configurable meeting rooms and private phone booths complete the office and offer staff the freedom to choose the right workspace for every task.
