Ten Brinke Varsseveld
Ditt Officemakers created a work café for Ten Brinke at its head office in Varsseveld. Inspired by the historic village green, a central meeting place was created that strengthens collaboration, connection and a sense of family within the organisation.
Project Case
For Ten Brinke’s head office in Varsseveld, Ditt Officemakers designed and created a work café that brings to life the history of both the organisation and its surroundings. The inspiration came from the historic village green: the central village square where people used to meet and social life took place. That principle formed the basis for a modern meeting place where staff come together to have lunch, hold discussions or catch up informally. The work café strengthens the sense of family within the organisation and provides a space for internal meetings and collaboration.
The interior combines traditional materials with a modern design, thereby seamlessly reflecting the craftsmanship that Ten Brinke has stood for for over 120 years. A section of the Berlin Wall forms a striking and meaningful focal point in the space, whilst a traditional Saxon truss subtly references the regional architectural heritage. The large glass façade facing the garden lets in plenty of daylight and creates a strong connection with the outdoors. Ditt Officemakers was responsible for the design, the flooring and the furniture, creating a warm and characterful meeting place that perfectly reflects Ten Brinke’s identity.
